Beyond performance, Prashant has contributed to the propagation of Dhrupad music through roles like Programme Officer (Music) and Dhrupad Project Coordinator at Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi. He has conducted workshops at various universities worldwide, including Weimar University in Germany, and has been featured in live recordings by international radio stations such as Radio RBB Berlin and BBC London.

Currently, along with his brother Nishant Mallick, Prashant imparts training in Dhrupad and Hindustani vocal music at their Dhrupad school, Pandit Bidur Mallick Dhrupad Academy in Allahabad, nurturing the next generation in this ancient art form.
