As part of her upcoming UK tour, Sanskrati Wahane, a rising star of Indian classical music, will be performing alongside tabla virtuoso Gurdain Rayatt. Discovered at the age of 18 through a raw, unedited video posted by her father, Sanskrati’s soulful sitar playing and profound understanding of melody have captivated audiences worldwide . Trained in the Etawah gharana under the guidance of her father, Lokesh Wahane, and currently under the tutelage of the legendary Ustad Shahid Parvez and Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, she brings a rare blend of technical brilliance and emotional depth to her performances .

Joining her is Gurdain Rayatt, a London-based tabla maestro known for his dynamic rhythms and deep understanding of classical percussion. Together, they promise an evening of enchanting improvisation and seamless musical synergy, offering a true celebration of Indian classical music.

The Wahane sisters made their first international concert. Sanskrati was discovered on a Facebook video back in 2016 and she left classical connoisseurs in awe. Six years later, she is joined by her sister as they travel from Ujjain, India to London to present their raw yet musical exploration of ragas. Whilst they will be beyond excited to perform on their first international tour, be ready to be transported back to India. They have been trained by their father Lokesh Wahane and are currently being taught by the legendary Ustad Shahid Parvez and Pandit Suresh Talwalkar. Vaishnav, another child prodigy whose breathtaking video when he was aged 9 appeared on YouTube four years ago. Now with 1.2 million views, he has developed into one of India’s finest emerging tabla talents.
