Señjuriṭi, also known as Jañjūṭi, is a bhāṣāṅga janyai of the 28th mēḷakartaii Harikāmbhōji. The svarasiii occurring in this rāga are ṣaḍja, chatuśruti riṣabha, antara gāndhāra, śuddha madhyama, pañchama, chatuśruti dhaivata, kaiśiki niṣādaiv. It is a rakti rāga or a rāga which pleases instantaneously. Its closest equivalent rāga in Hindustāni music is Raag Jhiñjōṭi.
Riṣabha, gāndhāra, dhaivata are rāgachāyā svarasvii. Riṣabha, gāndhāra, pañcama are nyāsa svarasviii. Sa-pa, sa-ma, ri-da, ri-pa, ga-da are vādi-samvādi svaras (consonant notes).
It can portray rasasix like karuṇā (compassion) very effectively, just as it can convey the feeling of devotion or bhakti bhāva.
